The ebony used for the spinning top has a musical life behind it, an old piano key was used for this.
Chakte Kok, also called Red Heart, (Sickingia salvadorensis) is a rare and beautiful rarity from the tropical forests of Southern Yucatan (Mexico), which cannot be compared to any other wood. It shows a unique and beautiful deep red to fire red colour, ages to crimson and is sometimes streaked with fine almost violet veins. Chakte Kok does not resemble any other wood in its colour intensity.
