FA0054 - hand painted wooden spinning tops

This top was carved in the Upper Volga region, the Russian center of matryoshka carving.
The artists at the workshop in St. Petersburg, Russia first hand paint the background and then apply various detailed elements such as faces that are printed on a very thin vinyl adhesive. These elements are reproduced original artwork.
Finally, each doll is finished with several coats of non-toxic water-based varnish.
